You’ll need a brass brush (preferred) or a bristle brush, liquid soap and a towel.
Place a few drops of soap directly onto the bristles and run brush under water.
Proceed to clean by scrubbing the jewel with medium pressure.
Always run the brush in the same direction; do not scrub back and forth. Once jewel has been scrubbed clean, rinse well.Dry off the jewel thoroughly to prevent watermarks. Rinse brass brush making sure to remove all of the soap out of the bristles.
Soap left on brush will cause the bristles to harden and become unusable. This technique works well with the finish Jill Platner uses on her silver jewelry, however we do not recommend that you clean other jewelry with this method.
